For decades, the development of a clinically viable ultra-small-diameter vascular graft has remained one of the most difficult challenges in vascular surgery and biomaterials research. Despite intensive research worldwide, no artificial vascular graft with a diameter of only a few millimeters has achieved the performance required for clinical use.

We have addressed this long-standing challenge by developing a decellularized vascular graft derived from ostrich carotid arteries. With an internal diameter of 2–4 mm and a length of 25–60 cm, our graft is designed as an acellular medical device that combines the native architecture and mechanical properties of biological tissue with our proprietary luminal surface functionalization technology. This surface functionalization promotes rapid endothelial regeneration after implantation and has enabled us to achieve patency in an ultra-small-diameter vascular graft at a scale that had previously remained beyond reach.

Decelink Bio was founded to translate this breakthrough from the laboratory into clinical practice. We have now reached the stage of clinical trials to verify its efficacy and safety.

Around the world, many patients still lose blood flow because of diabetes, arteriosclerosis, and other conditions, and are ultimately forced to undergo lower-limb amputation. We aim to bring this technology into clinical practice as soon as possible and offer these patients a new treatment option.

Our challenge does not stop at blood vessels. By drawing out the potential of living tissue through science, we aim to extend our work to the regeneration of a wide range of tissues and organs, toward a future in which lost tissues and organs can regain their function. Our mission is to work hand in hand with physicians, researchers, companies, and many others to deliver technologies born in the laboratory to patients around the world.
